I was very pleased to see our President fly into Iraq and make a positive speech, then visit the troops and give an inspiring speech. That beats the liberal media.
I was especially happy to see our troops recieve him with the applause and respect he deserves.

But our President is like that, he loves the brave Men and Women who serve this nation, not the Press and not the polls...just the mission and the progress made. I hate the PC word "Kudos" so I will say, "Well Done, Mr. President!"

bpgagirl, the question really is do you all realize that the President is loyal to his commitments and our nation, and most especially our brave troops?

He is a good man and a good leader, and he continues to keep our nation safe. Do those who constantly "bad-mouth" and put him down realize that?

So what exactly is your question implying? Need more definitive argument here.

First of all, the very fact that he and his little entourage of cohorts was "able to surprise our good and faithful troops" is simply a misnomer.

Who do you think designed and signed off on this blunder of body bags anyway!? Mickey Mouse? He lied to the American Public in the first place re: WMD's when in actuality there were NONE, he's lied about everything with the oil, and God knows what else he's covered up. And, one more thing, I believe they know where Osama Bin Laden is because of all the technological intelligence at their disposal, so don't tell me he's innocent in that category either! They're most likely just hoping his Kidney dialysis machine won't work one day and the b------d simply rots and dies away and they won't have to mess with his sorry b--t.

More than half the country wishes Bush would be impeached as I do. He wimped out in his own Natl. Guard Service and I did not vote for him. Just because I choose to express my opinion here, when millions of others choose not to does not make you all the moral majority.

He should be impeached because of the way he's handled everything.
BTW, I come from hundreds of VETS of every war in time and I also served the Civil Air Patrol as a volunteer and as I've said before was married to a Viet Vet for some years, so have a good day! End of discussion. This is old news!

Here is something interesting, by law, the Secret Service can't allow the president to go into a hostile area. The Secret Service could have told Bush no. Although Bush was under armed guard, the secret service didn't expect any attacks including random attack on the base. I think that's part of the story there.

As a veteran I am glad he made such a move. It hightens the morale of the guys and girls there in harm's way and it shows he and his staff know that a large portion of Iraq is secure.
