besides the free drinks and casual flirting, (he is a bartender)what are the other signals he would show that he likes you more than a 'bar fly'?

Well, the free drinks are enough to let ya know that he likes you. He's not making any money off you, he's losing money. I don't think he would do that for a normal "bar fly".
