I like strawberry-banana smoothies! Throw a few strawberries in the smoothie maker (maybe 6 or 8), put a banana in, About 8 oz of milk, maybe 2 oz of Orange Juice, 3 large scoops of Strawberry Ice Cream, plus a few ice cubes and blend it. You can put some chocolate on top when you're serving it!

Use skim milk. Sounds like a good smoothie to me. You could throw in more berries (blueberry, raspberry) or even a banana for some variety.
