Ya know, I was married at a young age and had children while I was young. I didn't think that I needed a college education since my father did exceptionally well without any education past high school.
Well, In my generation, college was immense. I had chosen to have children first. This meant that I was to gain education later. (I am)
The career that has enabled me to gain my education (I am txfering to university in the fall of '08) has been waiting tables.
This profession is fun and satisfying, in that I am able to talk to folks of all professions, and still have time for my own goals. I gain information and connections through these affiliations. Friendships have been generated.
If you need a job that is flexible and kind to your needs, then this is a job that I recommend.
Waiting tables is not an end, it is simply a means.... Don't get yourself stuck.

I'm an organic waste disposals recyclist consultant. Did you know you can create a 1 MegaWatt bomb from twenty pounds of house-old waste? And that for every kilogram of food bought by the average British consumer, a kilogram of the African population perishes? And for every button you press on your keyboard, the energy used could power the next algorithm in a super-computer to explain why we are so wasteful? And if the western world alone stopped thinking for a nano-second, the energy saved from total brain-neurone-firing could put one ton of weight back onto the African population? And for every cycle of a diesel car engine, a posh 4x4 lady-driver has expended 2 hours concentration time on maintaining a safe distance from other cars in a shopping mall parking space?
You see, science is fun.

I'm a sterile processing tech. for a hospital in Canada. I clean , process and sterilise surgical instruments !! There's a great demand for this kind of job!! We never seem to have enough staff!! It pays really good and you don't have to go to school for years!! There is a course and it's a 3 to 4 month course on medical terminology and the workings of an auto-clave!! You would learn about surgical instruments { The care and handling } I know you don't live in Canada but they must have the same where your from. It's worth looking into!!
