Because, when reading about her life she obviously didn't have the same Jesus Christ of the Gospels or the Gospel.
That Jesus was absent to her & that she didn't even lead people to Christ on their death bed. Just that they prayed to their God. She wanted to make a Hindu a better Hindu. A Muslim a better Muslim. Etc.
And to be in misery is to be Holy & special somehow.
This isn't in the Gospel, but it contradicts the bible.

Thor, It is Jesus that is the Way of Salvation. He is my Savior. I haven't saved anyone. Except maybe in everyday action in caring for family or friends, etc... Pointing to Jesus. Jesus is the Savior.
Billy Graham has led countless people to Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the one who saves them, because he is the one who shed his blood for remission of our sins.

Athiest eye? I became a saint when Jesus shed blood washed away my sins. And that is when I confessed him my Lord & Savior & believed he raised from the dead. Saint means holy. Means washed clean, redeemed. So? I am already a saint. Catholics can't make a saint out of me either. Mother Theresa didn't lead people to Jesus. On their death bed, they were to pray to their God.

ndgbil, If God be for you, who can be against you. God is not absent from his children. The Holy Spirit bears witness in our spiritman that we are children of God.
Mother Theresa didn't point to Christ Salvation, only if the person already believed in Jesus Christ on their death bed. Because she wasn't born of God. Her sins weren't covered. If they were, she would have been able to pray to Father God 24/7. As God promises to never leave or forsake us.

The bible says anyone who is a part of Christ is "sanctified' meaning saint. I'm a saint, anyone who is saved is a saint.
The RCC does not vote them in. That's the silliest thing I've ever heard! well, almost.

Catholics do not believe they can "make a saint" out of Mother Theresa, only God can make a person into a saint, by saving that person's soul. All Catholics can do is recognize that she is a saint.
Many people came to a saving faith in Jesus Christ through the life of Mother Theresa. Her life was an inspiration to many, and many sought after the strength and faith they found in this woman. As a result, Mother Theresa founded an order of nuns who are continuing her work.
While many did convert to becoming Christians from her work, Mother Theresa did not actively proselytize. She told Muslims to be better Muslims, Hindus to be better Hindus, etc.. The work of conversion was left to the Holy Spirit. And, yes, there were conversions.

God makes saintss, before anyone can be proclaimed a saint there have to be 3 miracles done and they have to be without a shadow of doubt that the miracle was the work of God. Some saints never decayed tho' they've been dead for 100 yrs. check this out. St bernadette. This is obviously the work of God.

Jesus lived a life of poverty and cared for the poor and sick. I think Mother Teresa lived that life better than anyone since St. Francis.
The absence of Jesus in her life is a rather common phenomena to mystics and contemplatives. If you are not aware of that part of the Christian tradition, you really need to read up on it. It mirrors the absence Jesus had of the Father in his agony on the cross - something else Mother Teresa had in common with Jesus.
Mother Teresa brought a great many people to Christ not by the words she spoke, but by the life she lived. Sometimes the best bible you can read is the way a good follower of Jesus lives.
Mother Teresa did not seek misery - it sought her out. That is accepting the life God gives you - his will for you in your life.
So, nothing you mentioned in any way contradicts what is in the bible. By the way, if you can show me where the bible says that the bible is the sole rule of faith for a Christian, then your argument would have some validity, but since that doesn't exist anywhere in the bible, there are problems right from the start.
Besides, God has given us only one conscience that we are qualified to examine, and it is our own. That is in the bible: "Judge not lest you be judged."

Either you are un-aware that Rick Miesel is a well known Christian fundamentalists and anti-Catholic or you are the same.
He is so doctrinal and fanatical in his fundamentalism just like some Muslims and Jews ,that one must be extremely careful in reading what he writes.
His most notorious methodology is to posit a totally erroneous premise from which he draws equally erroneous conclusions ; the conclusions he wants YOU to agree with.
I scanned the article and found it typically "Mieselian" .He totally fails to understand the great anguish of Mother Theresa and her despair in not feeling God being with her .

Even Jesus cried out on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?"
Mother Teresa was not perfect and did not have it easy. She was a real human being with real thoughts and feelings. Just like the rest of us, sometimes she felt close to God and, at times, felt abandoned by God.
She wrote in one of her letters, "I am told God lives in me -- and yet the reality of darkness and coldness and emptiness is so great that nothing touches my soul."
Her letters show a real human struggle with her own spirituality and shows her humanity.
Sometimes it seems to be the people with the greatest souls have the greatest doubts.
With love in Christ.

THE LORD GOD said If you love your neighbor, you have overcome the world. Also reading her story, showed that she is a chosen one of GOD. Thus, who among men may have any question on the WILL OF GOD. Likewise, THE LORD GOD said Has anybody was able to reach the roots of MY unfathomable WISDOM. Or else he has already condemned himself. It is because she is a destined Saint. She was destined to be a servant of GOD even before time began. She is one of the 100 million 1stborn of GOD in heaven before time began (Daniel 7:10). I say so by the big grace of GOD given to me and thus, as an echo of GOD and an envoy of GOD. Likewise, in a vision given to me, by the big grace of GOD given to me and as a light bringer of GOD, I was the 77,777,777th of that 100 million 1stborn. THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD.

Not only is it not tactful to speak ILL of he dead. In this case your being judgmental and VERY UN Christ like.
Read your own book. in that book there is a line most of you alleged dogmatic judgmental types seem to over look.
"I have many names and many faces"
Who are you to criticize an entire LIFE?
Who are you to judge an entire religion?
Would Christ ego be as big as YOURS?

She was a good person someone who put others before herself. Just because she didn't save people doesn't mean she's not a saint.
I think any truely good person should be classified as a saint, bodhisattva, ect.

If you're not Mother Theresa herself, then I don't think you should consider yourself an expert on what her relationship with God was.
