I am a type 2 diabetic that is not insulin dependant, can i attend a police academy?

That probably depends on where you are. Even if you are allowed to attend the academy, that does not mean you will not be rejected by a particular department on those grounds. You should really ask the academy and any departments you are considering.

If you're not dependent on any meds and don't have other problems AND can do as good as everyone else as far as the fitness exams go, I don't see why not, unless you've had serious problems in the past (like going into insulin shock or having seizures or something.) Good luck!
