For a plus size woman beginning an exercise schedule, and plans on going to the gym, how often and for what duration is the healthiest? -By this, I mean should I go for 3 days a week, thirty minutes at a time or 4 days a week 40 minutes at a time? What is the best combination for a beginner and what schedule should be the time that I sustain once I'm no longer a beginner?

Start small and work your way up. 3 X a week at 30 minutes sounds fine if you can do it. Anything is better than nothing.

I would start out kinda slow at like walking 30 min a day for a week then add more on slowly. That way u can get ur body used to working out a bit and don't wear urself out to fast where u don't want to get out and do it again And if u can get a workout buddy will make it alot more fun and give u support. Ur body lets u know what is to much and what is not enuff. Everyone is different while i can go around a track 6 times in 30 min maybe my friend can only go 4 or 5.

Start out small--walking. Get into a gym & if possible get a trainer. I would say at least 3 days aweek for at least 30 minutes if not longer. Do cardio and weights. This is where a trainer is helpful. They usually work an hour with an individual.
