Limericks are made up of five lines
The first second and fifth make up rhymes
And although you'll pretend
That they will always end
This one carries on for ever and ever and ever and never seems to get anywhere other than being extremely irritating and annoying, so much so that you wish you'd never even read this far but you have so you have to carry on just to see what happens and whether there is, in fact a word right at the very end that sounds like those at the end on lines one and two and eventually just as you were getting really, really uptight about it you find that the author put in a word that does sound like them but is a nonsensical invented and contrived word, being, oh I nearly said it but just as I was about to I remembered the word and it's dimes.
