can a check clear befor its come back as nsf?

no if it's NSF, it didn't clear. there wasn't enough money in the account, so it didn't get paid out.

not really i guess you could take a check to the bank - cash it get your money and you might think it cleared but once it went through the system if pops up nsf~!!!
