I say Naye, this will not stand, it has no legs. There's a storm coming and its not religious, even if believers all have some-kinda doomsday prophesy. I know this house of cards will fall, because technology and science dictates change. The education revolution is here, and it will leave sheep in its wake. In my lifetime I will see a Great man take the oath of office on a book of science, and sheep will be allowed to go back in their closet. A little heads up, there's a sleeping majority in this country that haven't (woke-up) it's coming. And Its okay

Unfortunately my fear is that religion will survive in politics. I certainly would prefer otherwise but we have become very radical in our religious viewpoints accepting nothing but those that yell the loudest.

I do believe in the very long run...when (and if) the world continues without "the end times" coming to pass that mankind/womankind will wake up and displace all religious fanatics. I'm an optimist I know....but maybe....just maybe if we see religion for its true value and put it in its proper place then we can get on with life, liberty and the true pursuit of happiness.

Oh boy, the atheist revolution, Marx said the same thing more than a 100 years ago, good luck defeating the most powerful force in the world. It's not going to happen, the fact is that an atheist couldn't secure a major party nomination much less win the Presidency and that won't change in our lifetimes. I see atheists have their own fantasies they believe in.

Religion will be in politics as long as mainstream society is religious. Of course the candidate may not actually believe in religion, but America has yet to elect a known atheist.

Religion is fighting a losing battle. Have you ever heard of "Battlecry". Well its over now, but for the past two years it was about getting teens into standing loud and proud for religion. Well, now its back to "Acquire the Fire".

Can religion outlast politics? How so, when only 4% of America are actual, really mean it religious people. (Theres a survey i read it somewhere, ill see if i can find it).

As much as I to say it, religion can't outlast politics.

Well religion is pretty old, and it has survived many things. I guess people have to believe in something to give their lives some sense. I don't hink that will stop, it might change but it won't stop.
Besides religion is a great business. Ever visited vatican City...wheeewww. A lot of gold sis.

Is this some kind of threat? The storm that is coming will sweep fools like you off the planet. The Eternal One has devestated entire nations of people just like you. Your "science" will not save you when He throttles the entire planet, and slugs like you will be no more.

Ok...you started out talking about religion surviving in politics. Religion doesn't survive in politics it thrives in politics. Why do you think politicians run to TV Evangalists. Then you branched off into science and religion being seperate... there are christian scientists (not the denomination) then you talked about the silent majority... you think they are atheist? How old are you and where are you coming up with this?

I hope someday that science rules, but I'm not hopeful. After all, the country voted for a complete moron for president, because god tells him what to do.
