hi. ran out of gas and put like 7 gallons in the tank however the truck wont start. it turns over but wont start. can anybody help thanks in advance!

You probably fried the fuel pump---they need gas to cool them when running and when you run out of gas, they overheat quickly and burn out. You have to test for fuel pressure at the engine fuel rail test port with a pressure testing tool or have a shop do it. Could be a bad fuse too. Do you hear the pump come on when you turn the key to the run position? Never let the gas run dry especially on newer vehicles with electric fuel pumps....expensive to fix.

Your fuel filter may be plugged. Sometimes they plug with sludge from running from bottom of the tank.
