If memory serves me, it is called a combination flasher (all in one) located in the fuse box. It performs both signal light and flasher functions, but either can quite an not effect the other. It will be black or light blue in color and is fairly large. The best way to test it is to pull it out and plug in another. Check all fuses first.

I don't know why you need a flasher but it is part of the ipm. module under hood attached to fuse box.
