im 15 & i called grandma. she is busy & hanging with friends. i miss her. so i left her a message saying "hi, grandma. this is nancy. i was wondering if you want to do something. i really miss you. im like crying for you. im really bored & i have nothing to do. so call me back. bye." i feel like an idiot. i dont want to sound needy. is this a bad message? grandma will ask "why are you crying for me?" then what do i say? i wasnt thinking and i feel dumb. help! she will hate me

Your grandma will likely be confused because you identified yourself as Nancy when your name in Ashley. She might think it was a prank caller.
If she is like my grandma she loves you and is happy to hear from you no matter what you say or do. You're a girl so crying is ok. No need to explain.

First off, you make it sound like you just want to see grandma cuz you're bored and can't find something better to do or some friends your own age to hang out with.
I'm a grandma, I'd like to hear from my kids and grandkids that they miss me, and would like to spend some time with me.......leave out the rest of it because it does making you sound needy. Yes, its not a great message, could use a little work. Just trying thinking how she feels when she gets it....

I do not think that you were rude or silly. I was best friends with my grandma and lucky to have her until I was in my late thirties. You tell her that you love her so much you just can't help missing her and when you are bored it is 10 times worse becuase you want her to hug you. If she is worth her grandmotherness, she will not think you are dumb for crying for her or wanting her company. If I were your grandma, I would run rught over and kiss you and tickle you till you pee, even if you were 15 and almost grown! It does not matter at all if you feel silly, you are a sweety for wanting her so bad and telling her so. I hope she calls you and goes with you to hang out or just makes dinner for you or something.

I think she will be really happy to hear from you and I'm sure she will feel honored that you're asking for some time to hang out with her. Grandparents are awesome, so spend as much time with them as you can.

if you want to modify and refine how you communicate with her, then do so
but dont worry about this, your grandmother will love you no matter what
