Hi....I had the same situation. When I was growing up I attended the Methodist Church and was baptized as a Methodist. As I grew older I wasn't sure if this was the right religion for me or not so I visited other churches of religions and chose the one that I felt was for me and my beliefs as a Christian. You might have to do this way as well. Visit some of the other religions and see which one you prefer in your beliefs. This is your decision. No one else can decide this for you. You have your own ideals and views when it comes to your religion so seek and you shall find the answers. Hope this has helped. Have a very blessed day!

Yes, definitely church shop. You want one that teaches from the bible. Possibly, you have a friend that could reccomend a church that they like. I work night shift, so I wanted an early morning service. I looked in the phone book under churches and just started trying a few out until I found the one that suited me. Pray that God directs your path.

Its impossible to tell without knowing what you believe in. Do you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins, that he is in fact divine? Do you believe in the Trinity? If so then you are a Christian. Next, you have to read your Bible and read the writings of the early Christians. Learn what life was like in the early church and then you'll be able to join another denomination. Other than that you'll just be making up your own heresy as you go it alone.

Try Jesus Christ's church the only one named as his. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same the world over and you will find that you will be welcomed with open arms. It is the only church upon the face of the earth that has the saving ordinances along with the Priesthood Keys given to man in this dispensation of time. Everyone participates and serves it is not a paid clergy and all feel it their duty to God to serve in what callings are given them whether it be a teacher, music leader, Bishop etc...Answers to all your questions can be answered by going to LDS.org

Keep trying different services. You may find one you like. If not, I don't think it's the end of the world. We all find spirituality via different routes.

If you don't like rules, don't go to church.
Although some churches will tell you to do whatever you want. But they are not churches of God.

Visit non-denominational churches in your area. Ask your Christian friends (whom you respect) where they attend church.

Pray about it.
"If any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him" James 1:5
