Allergic reactions are caused when your body misidentifies simple benign proteins as enemy invaders. The body starts to produce IgE which throws your whole immune system into overdrive. Your nose could itch, run, sneeze, your eyes could water, your skin could break out or you could sneeze or wheeze (asthma). Also, some molds produce exotoxins. The reaction that you experience will feel the same but two different things are really going on in your body.
I'd suggest backing off on snorting the mold if it makes your nose itch :o)

If you're allergic to it, your body is fighting to keep it out of your system.
