Depends on the size of the city, the agency the rank of the officer or firefighter.
I can tell you in the large agency that I work for, a police officer starts at 40 k a years and can max out in pay grade, with out promotions, in 10 years at 65 k a year.

Firefighters: $8-$15 dollars per hour
Police: $12.00 an hour up to $42,000 a year
It can be more or it can be less, it all depends on where you work etc.

in Arizona pay scale is .......
Firefighter - 39,000 up to 48,000
Police Officer - 45,000 to 52,000
this is the base pay as a firefighter or officer.. pay is more when advance in ranks.
