exempt from the law? Isn't this the same as having eternal pardon and not having to face any consequences for your actions?
And how are people that refuse to buy into this dillemma somehow bad?

CMW: Are you serious? Are you saying that no Christians do anything that would be considered "sinful"?

Rev. Einstein: I refuse to see? I am looking at this for what it really is. And its kinda ironic that Einstein was a Pantheist, not a Christian.

Rev.: I confessed my "sins" back when I was a Christian. I have since grown out of that. Even if I had not confessed these so called "sins", that would prove only that I never confessed sins, nothing more.

Rev: You do not live in reality. The bible proves nothing. And confessing things to an imaginary guy does not equate to accountability.

That is not even close to what it means. Everyone will face judgment, regardless of what they believe. Accepting Jesus means following his example. If you do that, you're not going to break the law.
This question gets repeated so often that it's kind of a wonder why it's so hard to understand. God will judge you and me. End of story.
Edit: I did not say that. I said if you're following his example, you will not. He did not. Obviously there is no human who can do that. Equally obviously there are people attending church regularly who are making no attempt to follow Jesus.
One who claims to follow Jesus and intentionally sins is under very great judgment. It's the opposite of "not taking accountability," as you put it.

Accepting Jesus is not same as "not taking accountability for your actions".
On the contrary, it should lead the believer into appreciating the horrendous nature of the sin in that it took the life of the innocent God-incarnate and encourage him to stay as far away from sin as possible.
Not appreciating this fact could lead to consequences for your actions.

Jesus came to die for your sins to be the perfect sacrifice for man kind, if everyone pays for their own sins their will be no one that will go to heaven, because everyone has sinned, the wages of sin is death. Accepting Jesus as your savior dose not mean you can just keep sinning, you half to try and be like him and follow his example, but if you sin and G-D knows you will because your human, you have an advocate between you and G-D and that is Jesus, if you ask to be forgiven and not do that sin again he will forgive you. The people that do not accept Jesus as their savior are not any worse than the ones that do, their just not saved from their sins, they have no way to heaven.

No, because accepting Jesus is saying "Lord, I'm a sinner, I'm sorry.." And generally feeling bad for what you've done. Which is punishment, having to stop doing bad things is hard and is punishment.. but if a Christian purposely breaks the law, then they should be punished for purposely going against the law like any other person.

Not at all. Unless you buy into the heresy that says you can sin purposely and presume you will be forgiven. We are required to "be perfect, as your Father in heaven IS perfect."
It is not a dilema, but is an incorrect interpretation.
Luther instructed his followers to "sin boldly" on the presumption that we are saved from sin by faith alone. That is a corruption of all that Christ taught. He told Mary Magdelene "Neither do I condemn you, go and SIN NO MORE."

That and the devil made me do it seem to be their mantras.
I don't think they're bad because of this, just delusion and naive. But, whether they admit to it or not, they are the cause of their actions and could be bad persons.
Edit:
After reading some of the response from Christians, they just don't get it. Asking a mythical being for forgiveness helps no one but the perpetrator. What they should be doing is realizing their actions have caused hardship for others. They should realize their attitude toward life and their lack of respect for others is wrong and that this is their fault. They should take steps to figure this out until the issues are resolved. And they should seek forgiveness from those they have wronged.

Accepting Jesus as my savior doesn't make me exempt from my own actions. I still control what I do and I take full responsibility for my actions.

No. Accepting Jesus as my Savior is admitting that I'm a sinner and NEED a Savior. It means I'm fully taking the responsibility for my behavior.

In order to be forgiven you have to acknowledge your faults. You have to admit that you have done wrong and ask for forgiveness. What many non-believers on here seem not to realize is that while Christians are forgiven that does not give us a license to sin. As Christians we try our best not to sin. Because we love Jesus we do not want to sin.

Good question.
in a nutshell...
God gives every individual the right the choose and prove that the choice is real here on earth ...whatever they choose ...they live with for the rest of eternity...
denying that God exists ...doesnt mean a thing to God...
his response to that approach is ...well ...if they want to choose delusion to cover their sins ..let them be deluded ..the results will be the same.
everyone in hell believes in Jesus ...but it's too late to do an ounce of good.
God said specifically ..if a person does not honestly seek for me when i give them more than enough chance ...then when they end up in hell as a result ...i will not hear or respond to their bad choice.
people that accept Jesus ...do also accept full accountability ...the process includes admitting sin and a commmitment to stop sinning,
and yes ...christians do sin ...but honesty is what God is looking for ...and confessing guilt is not a one time thing.
christianity is a daily process of self examination and repentence ...the bible says ...be transformed by renewing the way you think ...through reading God's word...changed thinking results in changed desires ...and actions.
that process takes time and commitment...it is a lifestyle ...there is not a one time fix....plus nothing.
God never said that ...the bible does not teach that ...if that is what you believe ...someone gave you some real bad information.
Jesus' followers asked ..."how many times must i forgive'
Jesus replied: 70 x 7 ...which meant you must forgive every single time you are wronged...if you dont ...you will be held accountable for every sin you ever commited
i say that to illustrate the fact that God knows that leaving a sinful mind set is not easy ...and therefore he has made provision for that as well.
God knows that christians might be repeat offenders...but...
God always forgives in the same way ...and ...as a matter of fact ... he demands that we follow the same rule....in the Lords prayer Jesus said...
"forgive us our debts ...in the same measure that we forgive our debtors"
think about the fact that judges reduce or commute sentences all the time...they dont usually do that unless the offender admits guilt ...and makes a credible commitment to change their ways...God does a hundred times better than that ...he forgives and forgets ...every single time a person asks for it ...as long as it is an honest request.
here's the dilemma ...the bible says repeatedly that no one who has unforgiven sin in their life will be allowed to spend eternity with God and those who go to heaven ...God threw out satan and his followers because they wanted to change the rules and refused to trust God anymore.
if God lets people into heaven that use their free will to undermine God's way of doing things then the same thing will happen all over again...i mean think about it ...satan is the author of porn and murder and child abuse and on and on ...i do not want to be in a heaven where God allows that.
...the earth was established as a proving ground to give each of us an opportunity to show God if we would follow him ...or satan...without reinfecting heaven.
God gives every individual the right the choose and prove that the choice is real here on earth ...whatever they choose ...they live with for the rest of eternity...just like all of the angels did...which led to war in heaven ...and satan's downfall.
to answer your question...we live in a world that is full of temptation and sin...God said simply and clearly that no one with sin in their life will be allowed into heaven.
if that were the only statement from God on the subject then we would all be doomed to eternal torment....because perfection ...without God's help in this world is impossible.
...but ...the bible says that it is not God's will that anyone should perish in hell.
...the bible also says that ...if a person is honest enough to admit that they are a sinner ...and asks God to forgive them ...and asks Jesus to come into their life to protect them...and commits to changing their ways
...then he will gladly do it...
honest curiosity is the key.
...ask God yourself ...and i guarantee he will answer you ...if he exists ...he can do it ...
and keeping people out of hell is his top priority.
if you ask God's forgiveness and honestly ask His help to live up to the Lords prayer ...i guarantee ...you will be amazed ...you will change in ways you never would have imagined ...for the rest of your life. ...and you will see heaven when the time comes....for eternityyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
God bless you.
here is a true story to illustrate what i've said ...
i heard a pastor once that said he was a heavy drug user before he became a christian ...one time he OD'd ...and woke up in hell.
he was in a completely confined very dark ...very hot space ...trapped and miserable beyond description.
... he also said he had the sensation that there was no past ...and no future ...only now...forever.
well ...they revived him ...he dodged that bullet.
...but that very scarey very real experience made him start thinking...which led him to go to church one sunday ...even though he was high as a kite and didnt belive in God.
...long story short ...he's a preacher often seen on TBN christian tv network ...larry huch is his name ...he has a church called New Beginnings in dallas texas.
he preaches that hell is very real...from first hand experience.
honest curiosity is the key ...larry huch was curious ...he walked into that church and challenged God to prove that he existed ...and he got an answer...
God does the same for everyone ...not just larry huch ...God did it for me ...and i was never a drug addict ...
but i knew i needed to search ...and i found the truth that i freely share with you.
