I mean even the contradiction's among believers is enough to stimulate their God given thuoght process. Non-believers at least have HARD proof, and I mean HARD they may not admit it, but Believers have to be (((shaken)))) and (((Quaken))) just a little, I dare say some are falling out of the bad habit of religion, especially if there hanging in this Q&A section.

Christians unfortunately. Because of their natural proclivity to want to shove their beliefs down the world's throat they have become more organized and more entrenched in today's modern political scene. Even though here in America church and state are supposed to be separate they are deliberately moving into public political arenas, placing senators, congressman, and judges into powerful positions to put a stranglehold on the future of this country. They will work to overturn laws such as Roe versus Wade, they will effectively continue to block gay unions whether through traditional marriage or civil unions, they will remove the concept of evolution from the schoolrooms they will seek out and destroy all that they feel is offensive to their god. In short all the personal freedoms of choice this country has stood for will be smashed under their unrelenting and judgmental boots of intolerance. Non-believers who have no desire to force their views on others have never felt the need to organize or systematically infiltrate politics in this way which in hindsight was a bad choice.

I don't think anybody has the upper hand. Remember, despite what we see here, most of congress and the people who run this country are Christians. Some would consider that the upper hand.

I believe that "Ignorance" has the upper hand!

Remove the "Ignorance", and see the "Truth within the Truth".

The "Truth" really hurts, by golly I think I struck a nerve!
The human "Ego" is so sensitive.

Boy are you blind! I am laughing because you are so totally biased and subjective in your thinking.

Get a grip on reality.

BY THE WAY - YOUR "THUOGHT" PROCESSES NEED SOME STIMULATION. ROFL!

EDIT: SHAKE AND QUAKE? That is what you will be doing on the day of judgment if you don't repent and get right with God. You will find your "hard proof" to be soft and shallow ground to stand on when you face God in all His holiness and power. TODAY IS THE DAY OF SALVATION - THERE IS NO REPENTANCE AND SALVATION AFTER DEATH.

I would say that Atheists are, as they have proof on their side, they don't discriminate against other groups and that they are generally nicer people.

An Atheist cannot admit he is an Atheist and be in congress as he wouldn't get many votes (even I get that and I know very little about American Politics).

I know many that left religion, and my husband is an example.
When I met him he was a christian, I showed him plenty of evidence about the falsity of religion ,and now he is an agnostic like me.
And we are living a very happy life.

*im a nonbeliever in religions

i say that religious beliefs are gaining momentum and are the cause of a lot of problems in the world. i say believers (of all religions, not one in particular) are winning.

If you have to worry about who's getting the upper hand, then I would venture a guess that you're losing.

It doesn't matter.
