my boss left the company weeks ago...and im planning to apply to a new job...can i still have her as a reference? i took note of her number and plan to ask her permission, but is this okay?????

It depends, I have done this with my former boss who left the company without any problems. I think this would be ok with most potential employers wanting references, but some are more strict and want references from people still working at your company. A letter of recommendation is another good resource to have when interviewing.

If the new job is with the same company only ask her if she left under good circumstances. If it's for another company it's fine to ask her.

YES! She would be a great reference as long as she says she doesn't mind and she'll tell only good things about you
