I consider this a meeting between a great guy and a sweet girl who both have feeling for eachother and are sensible, not completely a date though. Keep doing this and when u feel comfortable go for an actual date.

I don't think I would consider this a date.
But here is a question for you...what do you consider as a date?
My thoughts basically is that spending time together and then getting to know each other no matter what we are doing. Enjoying each other's company but then ending in wanting to see each other again maybe tomorrow or the next few days after had cooled off from the first date.
I believe that when you look at a guy or gal for this date, you have to know that how to create the space that it is a date concept. If thinking that you are just having coffee and then taking you to your car is a date, I would consider that as an ice-breaker that will turn into a date.
Hope this helps and good luck

Yes it was a date. You planned your time together. Date is not about getting physical. Its about spending time and understanding each other better. These simple meetings without any frills go a long way. This way you get to know the person. All the best. I hope you are happy with the outcome of your date. What others think does not matter? If you felt good that's all that matters.

No!
This wasn't even a date you guys just had a couple of drinks that each of you paid for!
Do you think it was a date?
And by the way a date is when a hot guy asks you out and takes you to this fancy restaurant or to the movies or something a little bit more special!
Duh!
Good Luck!!!

well i dont think it was an official date. i mean if he didnt ask you out or pick u up at ur house or pay for drink than i dont think it would be considered a real date. But it does sound like he is interested as time progresses a real date might actually be in the future

There is no hard and fast rule as to what a date is. if say you both agreed to meet and you spent some time together then yes I would class it as a date but I wouldnt go jumping along the rooftops waving my hands just yet.

Yes. It was a "meet and greet" date meaning the icebreaker stage. Paying for your own coffee was because nothing has been established as far as what your relationship will be. Wait for him to invite you out again, but at that point, he should pay.

I consider this to be a friendly get together. But it may lead to an actual date in the near future.

I wouldn't. I personally think a date is a little more involved than that. You might as well have met at the mall and had a Coke at Chick-Fil-A. No date.
