I guess the pirates only come out during "global cooling."

no. global warming is caused by pollution from factories. the pollution affects the ozone lare on earth, which causes the suns rays (that warm the earth) to keep warming the earth, making it hotter and hotter on the earths surface, causing no life on earth.
GLOBAL WARMING IS CAUSED PARTIALLY BY POLUTION.
