Three words, fresh, fresh, fresh. Basil, dill, thyme, oregano, parsley, cilantro and garlic are all available in most grocery stores. They may cost a little more and take a little bit of knife work; but, the benefits of flavor far outweigh the ammount of work involved. Most work best in hot foods, when added to the end of a cooking process rather than at the beginning.

I do my own seasoning at home. And two of the herbs I use the most is called ciliantro and recao. They make my food taste delicious. They sell the seasoning done allready at the supermarket in the goya product area it's called sofrito or recao, but I rather do it myself. That way I know what's going into my food. Hi my friend Take care

Garlic. But not garlic salt if you're watching sodium. And sage, oregano, chives, fresh ground pepper, cayenne, chili powder, paprika, curry powder, and dried basil. Marjoram is good for split pea soup too.
