It's a concept that is not widely known about, and I'm actually very curious to know where you've heard this. Eternal night is the beginning of the end in many ancient religions. It relates to the rise of evil, it's over taking of the earth. The concept was modernized and interjected into Christianity as what is now known as "Armageddon". Only Eternal night is not such a sweet story as Armageddon. It doesn't so much relate to a type of Anti- Christ figure that deceives the earth, but rather a willful rebellion against god by his own creation. The Fall of man, in the same manner of the fall of the Grigori ( fallen angels). The darkness within us taking over, and darkness ruling the earth as a result of our actions.

I have, not sure where though.

Probably from the scientific theory that eventually the Earth will stop rotating and some areas will be eternal day and eternal night...

*shrug*

Night means darkness or lack of understanding. In Truth, this doesn't exist.
