I like to call it the "potato chip bag" theory.
"This is a REAL answer"....stick with it.
Have you ever taken/had a bag of potato chips...and shaken it up...and shaken it up...and shaken it up? Open the bag and you still have the same "weight" of potato chips, you simply have many, many, more "pieces" of chips that have not CONDENSED the bulky pieces into smaller/less bulky pieces.
This is what aerobic exercises do...the ones that do not involve weights. Perfect examples are...bicycling...jogging (NOT WALKING)...swimming...etc. etc. Think of your Lance Armstrongs, Olympic athletes, etc...all very lean and thin...because of the "type" of exercise they do.
Long periods of time "shaking/jostling" (bouncing?) the body has the same effects as it does on a bag of potato chips. It "condenses" the muscles, makes them more compact...you may lose some water-weight and "filler mass" as I call it...but you will not lose a significant amount of weight.....look at the Angelina Jolie (after Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith), Halle Berry (after Catwomen and Capoeira training), Madonna (after getting her fitness kick on, but she does more weight resistance-oriented exercise...so you see bulkier muscles).
Losing weight from "diet & exercise" always worries me that people are hearing "depriving my body of essential foods/vitamins" and "pushing my body too hard...for "quickie" results". Please, be sure to keep eating a healthy diet...you need carbs for energy...just cut down on "excess" fats, oils, etc (and of course, junk food)...and find a balance of how much to eat vs how many calories you're burning.
I love snacking on grapes, fresh pineapple, strawberries, etc...instead of junk food snacks...and they are a lot cheaper when I buy them at Costco/Sam's Club centers. Also, I use "healthy" snack bars to "have multiple meals" throughout the day....your body gets trained to understand it will have a regular source of vitamins, minerals, (some carbs) throughout the day...and therefore won't "store up" extra for "drought periods" later in the day, etc. Yep, our body is a like squirell, or a hibernating bear...storing up for the "hibernation period" between meals...somewhere on our body...that's why some people have "fat problems" in different spots. Anyway, hope this helped.

Don't do weight then - stick to swimming and basic aerobic exercises instead.
