im 16 years old buying a 97 taurus. about how much is insurance going to be?

Depends, are you going for full coverage.. Meaning comp, coll & liability, or just liability.. Your a 16 year old male, so right there, your looking at higher rates cuz your male, and 16. If just liability might not be to bad, especially on a 97 Taurus as those are considered family cars.. But if it has higher mileage, and also the fact that its more than 7 years old, rates may be a little high on it.. If you add comp and coll to the policy your looking at about anywhere from 80-125 a month for full coverage, just liability probably around 50-80.. Again not exact im not an agent each company is different, but from past experience when I was 16, and got my first car I paid 55 a month, and that was a 96 Cavalier..POS... Piece of sh@#

Higher than a cat's back. Seriously, you can expect it to be quite high, indeed. You could ask the agent who carries the insurances on the car your family has now. Or just ask your mom or dad...I can assure you they know how much this is going to cost them.
