I like to go by etymologies. "Definition" comes from "of or from" (de) and "the ends or boundaries" (fines). So it's like "determination" (of or from the terminus) -- it's assigning or determining the bounds and meaning of a term or object. (You can get talk of "definition" in regards to how clear an object is delineated or how focused it is.)

Definition: Is to define or make clear what is in question.

Education: College
Religion: Christian. The true original faith. Oh teh Catholics will tell youthat they are, but that is completely impossible when The apostles of Christ were spreading the word from the day of Pentecost through today, and Catholicism didn't show up until around 300.a.d. and even then Constantine did not give up his pagan gods. So how can it be the original when the original was going on 300 years before Constantine started the catholic church? Long live Christ, not the pope, that is the problem with you Catholics, you place your worship in the wrong places: Mary, Pope, Angels, Saints. Try placing your worship on Christ, and stop mourning your religion and start celebrating it.

Yes, some people on yahoo answers are able to define "definition" without looking it up.

I have a post graduate degree

A definition is a means to let anyone know the precise meaning or purpose of a word, thing or action. I attend any non-denominational church that believes in God. I am a college graduate. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

Lol, it's a bit of a catch 22, the meaning of a word is a definiton, a definition is the meaning of a word

I'm an Athiest (no religion will have me :-D) and I'm still in High School, (so sarcasm is my highest form of wit)
