My hair brushed against my cold sore several times, before brushing my cheek where it lays flat. Did I infect my cheek?

Too respond to your question....is NO. There are many things that probably touch your cold sore and your not aware of it i.e. food, tongue etc and you will notice that the only place your cold sore is, is on your lips. Herpes is caused from a virus and stress can cause herpes as well. Don't worry about your hair......

Unlikely. Keep your hair away from your face when having an outbreak. It's possible for drainage to be picked up and the virus transmitted this way. You wouldn't want to spread it to your eyes, would you?

No!! The herpes virus lies dormant in nerve endings until you are run down for for reason, which tends to activate it.
