Is Jehovah not the name of God. How could anyone hate God. Shame on them.

do you mean to say people hate Jehovah's Witnesses instead of hating Jehovah God?

I'm not a big fan of the Jehovah's Witness religion, but the individual Jehovah's Witness is not bad. I think they're misled by their Organization into serving an Organization rather than having a personal relationship with God and serving Him only.

The Jehovah's Witness religion has had many inconsistencies in their beliefs over the last hundred years which have caused hardship in the lives of their members. Some of which are their beliefs in the matters of:
immunizations,
blood transfusions,
higher education for their members,
end of the world prophecies.

these are just a few examples of matters they've changed their minds on. They casually call their new understanding in these matters "New Light," but it's not so casual of a matter for the people who have died and their families have been destroyed because what was once forbidden is now allowed.

Because of this, I cannot endorse their religion as another innocent avenue to worship God. I believe involvement with JWs is very dangerous for the individual and the family unit.

Any genuine believer DOES NOT hate Jehovah. But I do believe that Jehovah Witnesses gave the name " Jehovah" a bad rap.
Satan knows God's name is Jehovah and used this cult to turn men and women off from calling upon the Name of Jehovah.

I don't understand your question. Jehovah is the Devil, or the Devil hates Jehovah? Jehovah hates the truth?

It is true that Jehovah, and Jehovah's Witnesses, are not loved by everyone.
http://jw-media.org/newsroom/human_rights.htm
Some people hate Jehovah's Witnesses out of ignorance, or over some misunderstanding. A few may have had a bad personal experience with an individual who claimed to be a Jehovah's Witness, and prejudicially extended their animus to this entire Christian religion.

However, it seems that the majority of anti-Witness hatred is motivated by religious intolerance and bigotry. A few may even be motivated against their Christian worship by the unseen 'god of this system of things', Satan the Devil.

(2 Corinthians 4:4) the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

Interestingly, such "hatred" should be expected by true Christians in this time of the end, and it actually helps identify Jehovah's Witnesses as Christ's true disciples:

(John 15:19) If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you.

(Luke 6:22) Happy are you whenever men hate you, and whenever they exclude you and reproach you and cast out your name as wicked for the sake of the Son of man.

(1 Peter 4:4) Because you do not continue running with them in this course to the same low sink of debauchery, they are puzzled and go on speaking abusively of you.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

It seems signficant that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are the ones best known for their worldwide preaching work. Yet Jesus commanded that ALL who would call themselves "Christian" perform this public work:

(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And, look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Are you talking about Jehovah's Witnesses? If so, it's not the people that I hate, but the false teachings of the Watch Tower Society.

This is an open ended question and tough to give a single answer. People hate God because they despise many who claim to follow God yet are evil themselves. People may follow their own carnal desires, which is against God's design. Therefore, they hate God or wish that God didn't exist. People could use their parents as a reason to hate God. Their parents claimed God but they treated their children like crap. Why follow this God. People see religion as a scapegoat for people to do and say anything they want while feeling superior to others. Why follow a God of people like that?

I don't. I completely dislike the fact that no such name exists - we do not know HOW the name was pronounced. The Jews did not pronounce the name...and besides, there is no "J" sound in the Hebrew tongue.

YHWH is more-likely "Yahweh". It certainly cannot be "Jehovah". If were going to guess at Hebrew vowel sounds...then why not:

JeeHooVee?

JooHeeVoo?

JaaHooVee?

Get it?? It's a wrong-headed guess at the Tetragrammaton...made up by German "scholars"

Sometimes I think that people don't hate G-d so much as they despise 'organized religion.'
I hear an awful lot of judging going on .
Righteous posturing and pride in ones own religious discipline.
Preaching and spouting of one or two ideals, without research and or an effort to learn more.
Oversimplification of the 'process' involved in being .a 'better. person.
Selective reading , picking and choosing of religious manuals, rules and paragraphs for ones own benefit, or of ease in living with the 'rules'.
No , I don't think people hate Jehovah , I think people despise the attitudes of the people who espouse their belief in G-d.

i think people tend to hate or dislike things that they don't understand. And most people don't like when people knock on the door to sell you their god. I think this drives more people away from your religion than it brings in. The majority of people my age tend to believe God is not as strict as past generations did. People don't want every aspect of their life controled by a church. Most prefer less strict ways to God or have no God at all to conform to their own lifestlye. Just remember if someone hates your way of thinking its just because they don't understand it the same way you do.

Hate is an all consuming fire. Hate "IS" Satan. Hate cannot affect Jehovah, yet it consumes the one who harbors it within themselves. See the trick? Satan comes as an angel of light. In other words He makes you feel superior by hate and judgment upon others.
