i have a cold sore on my lip.. its small little bumps and its looks red...should i put cover~up on it? or will it spread? can i do it with spreding it?

Putting makeup on your cold sore isn't the best cold sore remedy. It could cause it to spread.
If you do MUST put make-up on your cold sore, throw it away ASAP! The Herpes virus is contagious and could spread to other areas of your lip. I assume you're talking about lipstick, etc.
Using lipstick over and over again is one of the worst things you can do to have a cold sore. You can have a recurrence that no cold sore remedy can get rid of.
You'd be better off leaving the make-up off.
Leaving it alone is the best cold sore remedy. Don't pick at it, leave it dry, and keep your fingers out of your mouth.
Also, you'll be tempted to pick off the scab since it will make it less ugly. DON'T! It will make it worse! Plus it will take forever to heal.
Trust me, I've suffered from cold sores all my life. I've been searching for the best cold sore remedy, and the best one is to just leave it alone.

Personally, I have mixed emotions about this. On the one hand, I would want to cover up the cold sore because I have seen some which are truly nasty looking and nobody wanted to even eat lunch with this person. On the otherhand, make up has junk it is that could exasserbate your issue. The area needs to be as clean as possible.

Put on Zovirax cream as soon as you feel you may be getting a coldsore. It should stop it developing and certainly won't do any harm other than dry the skin a bit. Better safe than sorry if you ignore the warning signs.
