The answer is clear as you stated in your question
Allah is Arabic name of God: the creator of every thing, and nothing is like him.
Allah is God who sent all prophets to guide us such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Eshmael, Isac, Jacop, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammad.

I'm Muslim, and I want to tell Aaron that Christians in arab countries also call God Allah. Allah is not God for only Muslims. Allah is an Arabic word that means God. Now the difference is that I have only one God who's not Jesus, while Christians claim that Jesus is God and he's also the son of God.

The being who created the universe and all the creatures in it, this is the true God.

There have been many names for him, since his servants have been from all nations and languages.

If you call on the Holy father of the universe and of all that is good, then I am sure he will be attentive to your prayer no matter what religious background you have.

Just as 'God', 'Allah', 'Dios', 'Elohim' can apply to the one true God (John 17:3)

So can it apply to other Gods
(Ex 7:1; Judges 13:21,22; 2 Cor 4:4)

Where as Jehovah or Yahweh only applies to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 1:3 & 17)

Edit to Marry M:

I read your comment to my answer about 'Allah'.

Were you agreeing with me or disagreeing with me?

My point was that the word Allah (in what ever language you want to use) is just a title.

Where as the only true God has a name.

Yahweh is his name to generation to generation. (Ex 3:15)

http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/OTpdf/psa83.pdf (Ps 83:18)

This name is used in the bible more times than the words Lord and God (Allah) combined.

allah is one of the 365 pre-islamic arab gods that mohammed picked. If you do pre-islamic research, you will find that the arabs worshiped a different god everyday. allah was one of those that he happened to pick. allah, does not mean God. Yahweh is the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses! mohammed added all pre-islamic rituals to the koran...very arab-centric...quran 5:46-47 and 43:63 states that the Jewish Torah and Christian Holy Bible are correct. Muslims must believe them, or they are not following their koran.

Arabs had to develop their own book to counter the Jewish-centric Torah and Holy Bible. The koran came late - over 600 years later...a day late and millions of dollars short!
