im a city girl at heart and i live in sanantonio texas.
my dad grew up there and his family lives there so its in my blood
i want to live there so bad
so i was wondering if i could make it there

Truly anybody can live in New York City.
If not here, then nowhere.
Many people that live here did not grow up in a big city or even the same country, but they're New Yorkers nonetheless.
New York City is a wonderful place to be. It's got everything as far as culture and entertainment is concerned. It's a cultural melting pot and everybody fits into it in their own way.
What it really takes is a love for the busy, crazy city life - the experience comes while you live here.
I'm from Germany and grew up in a little countryside town and never thought I would ever wind up in New York.
This is now my 4th year working in Manhattan and I fit into the mix just as much as everybody else.
For myself, I've found that I do like a little more countryside better than the constant hustle and bustle of the city.
So I live outside and come into Manhattan to work.
There are lots of people that work in New York City, but don't want to live there. And even they are New Yorkers.
If you have the desire to live here and even have relatives - go for it! Bring an open mind and enjoy the ride.

I guess that depends on how you look at life. I think NY is very free and everyone does their own thing. People accept people for who they are and i think that's the main thing. Acceptance. Good luck to you!
