How do you handle harboring these two teachings in one faith:

1. judge not least ye be judged

2. preach to others about the lord. (you cant preach to anyone, unless you judge and decide whether the person is saved or not, so your preaching may benefit them)

So if youre preaching to a non Christian, then you automatically judge them and you cant have both of the teachings together. How do you deal with that?

So can we say from all this then that Christians should not preach to non interested non Christians at all?

good question! i understand your meaning... if i preach to someone it means that i already took the conclusion that he/she are not living a worthy life, or something... so that would be judging... but the reason why non-believers should become Christians and that's why they need to hear the gospel is that every human was born in sin. original sin, the one we're all born with. and once you're born within that, you can't judge, just like i won't judge you for being born with arms, but doing it, if i wouldn't... so it's not judging, once believers too were part of this sinful life and were born in it... it's like, hey, that's not life what you're living, but you can't find that out than through a difference. and when you believe, it's when things come to you in a different perspective. and you just go and tell others about it... that's how i see it...:)

By preaching we don't judge anyone.

Judging means you know whether a person is going to be saved or lost. That depends on knowing the person's motives, his entire life etc, which nobody can except God. So judging is the work of God.

All we do is to tell them about God (preach) and let them make the decision. After preaching it's between him and God.

The problem here is in deciding who to preach to, correct?
If you are using Christianity as a basis for preaching (the Word Of God) then you only need to read Matthew 28:19-20.
It is not up to you to decide who should receive the Word. The commandment is to preach to ALL.
The true follower of this commandment will be not only preaching salvation but obedience as well. And who is there among us who does not need that message?
Just plant the seed....God will reap the harvest.

People so pervert the 'judge not' thing. They don't read on, to see what he was talking about.
'Judge not, lest ye be judge.' by the same measure. Measure!

A prostitute announces herself. She says she is up for bids. She dresses the part and walks the known streets.
I can judge that she is a prostitute, from her speech, her clothes and her friends. I can also pretty much see she is sa prostitute, when she goes with strangers into a motel room.

I do none of these things. I have no fear of that same measure. I can withstand being measured by the same measure, as I do none of those things.

A man is the protector of his children. Using the common mis-understanding of this term, says that he is to trust everyone with his children and ignore all signs of a pedifile or rapist. Otherwise, someone might think he too, is a pedifile or rapist. Now does that make sense?

Judge all day long. Just make sure you can withstand the same scrutiny.

Preaching doesn't necessarily mean Lecturing. It means showing Christ's love in all you do and all you say. But it's not up to us to decide whether someone needs to be saved or not.
Preaching to an non-believer usually has the opposite effect. Showing them by example works much better if you are trying to win souls.

Here is where you are wrong. Judging is forming an opinion in your mind about something based on what they have done or what they do. Telling someone about their sin is a totally different subject!

For instance, when a mother scolds her child and says, "You were a bad boy." is placing a judgment on him. It says you are no good and I am better than you because I don't do those things. Now, if mom says, "when you did this it was bad." she is not saying that the boy is bad, but what the boy did was bad. See the difference?

That is how Christians can talk to the unsaved about their sins without judging them.

I don't tell anyone the gospel unless I hear from God first or He is doing a work somwewhere. Even Christ said that He is at work wherever His father is at work. And that He go where His Father isn't. So if God directs you then it isn't to judge, and the only sin anyone is judged by is the fact they do not know the Son. God will give you the words and the place and the person He is trying to reach the gospel to. You will know.

dont judge any one- THE REAL MEANING OF IT:
-dont say to yourself about someone youve never meant something bad about them like "oh they must be bad"
-dont look at someone and say in ur mind mean things about someone just because something they like or do or wear.
-deciding if someone is saved or not is definately judging.

you will be judged by God on your judgement day and judging counts if you judge.

its hard to preach about the Lord (not unless ur really an expert) because Satan has many ways into tricking you and confusing you. You wont be automatically judgemental if you preach. --only if ur actually judging them.

Seems you have misinterpreted a verse. The Bible in the verse mentioned is refering to judging someone or putting them down for things you have done or mght do. It is simply saying that the standards you hold for others will be used on you. So be carefull. I hear it often that people think you are never to judge anyone but the real truth is quite the opposite.
Jesus many times referred to people as swine or worse. You are to judge carefully everyone and every circumstance to know what you should do or if you might help or whatever, but you are not to condem people for their ways simply avoid the situation and go your way . For one to follow the righteous path one must use careful judgement but one is one's own caretaker not everyone else's. I hope this helps. I know it is common practice to take single verses to stand alone but it is the total picture after reading the entire book that one must understand.

I don't think Jesus ever said or implied to "spread the gospel so all can know the good news" that this was to be done to only non believers. We are Jesus' feet, hands, words, hugs, listening ear hear on earth. It behooves us to be like him an daily I fail, but get up and try again. "Preaching" to others in my life is being like Jesus. Whether that be giving someone an assuring hug, when they are doubting that God even cares or listens to them. Only God can be the judge not anyone else. Perhaps that single mom struggling with 3 kids and bundles needs help with the door. You are spreading God's word in an unspoken way.
