I know it's a little early to be thinking. But I like to try the recipe a few times first. I don't really like desserts with a lots of raisins, sultanas.

Thanks in advance

How about a Buche de noel also called Yule log? It's a chocolate cake made in a sheet pan then filled with cream, rolled up and frosted to look like a log. It can be decorated with leaves or berries. There are many recipes available on the Internet. Just choose the one you like.

Here in TEXAS we do things kind of southern. I make Pumpkin Pie & Pecan(state nut) Pie. Offer whipped cream or/and Ice cream as a topper. Buy the pie crusts already made for the Pumpkin follow the recipe in the can on Pumpkin Pie Mix it's great. On the Pecan find a recipe you like..I make a family 1 from years back. But again I buy the crust already made.
Then I do some type of Vegan dessert too..usually Gluten,Egg, Dairy Free Brownies from a Pamela's Mix. Just punch it up some with dark chocolate melted over the top.
Yummy..

Hi Lil Cat, If you are anything like me we probably over eat so I (not being a great lover of christmas pudding also) usualy make something light. If you want something rich but not too heavy you could try creme caramel or for something lighter what about a fruit sorbet. you should be able to find these recipes on any good food site. try www.bbc.co.uk it's not too bad. I hope this gives you some ideas happy eating and Christmas when it comes! All the best from Rab (Chef)

you could try something very simple like apple crisp. it's a recipe of rachael ray's and i adore it! it only takes a few minutes to prepare and is finished cooking in 10-15 minutes. it's a very light, yet sweet, dessert. you can top it off with ice cream, whipped cream or even a candy care or something festive for christmas. if you'd like to recipe, let me know and i can email it to you. good luck!

you can do a pull apart bread.
get a package or 2 of flaky biscuits. i use the ones with butter flavor too. seperate and cut in to 1/4s. roll each 1/4 in a cinn/sugar mix. drop in to a bundt pan. drop in 1 cup butter, i use the stick type to slice and put in with the 1/4s.
bake till done. think it's 20 or so min.
turn over on platter and unmold. serve hot or cool.
