Because mine sure the hell does! LOL What is her deal ..as if she is digging her way to china! Does anyone know why she is doing this...serious replies only.

My chihuahua does the same thing, I bought him those foldable dog kennels that zip up if you need to keep your dog in and he has made holes through two of them, I think I am going to need to buy him a hard plastic one. Is yours a puppy because mine is. My grandma has 3 (2 are my puppy's parents) and they don't do this anymore so I think it might have to do with age. Chihuahua's have a lot of energy and express it anyway they can, I think that's just a way of releasing some of it.

Before my dog lays down she digs/scratches the place where she is going to lie. She never destructs anything.
She is preparing a place for her to lay down at.
Does this sound like what your dog is doing?

I own two and they both do it. It is their way of making their resting place fluffy.
