I changed my visa status from J1 to F1 while I'm in US. I really want to come back to my country in Christmas and stay there about 1 month than reenter the U.S. I heard that if I want to reenter the U.S, I have to be in an interview at U.S Embassy Building in my country. That's what I dont want. Is there anyway that I can reenter US without being in the interview? Please dont ask me why.
Thanks

if you going less than 30 days,
carry your passport with the visa stamped in your passport your stay must be valid beyhond the date of your studies , and have multiples entries ,
a valid form I-20 check the expiration date item 5 on I-20 form
for your I-20 form OISS advisor
a valid form I-20 item 3 on pink copy of DS-2019
there should not be an interview . in that case.

Well, i think that you are getting screwed by changing your visa status...that's a big no-no, for sure.

Your only solution (in my opinion) is to try (keyword: try) to put a request in writing to the u.s. embassy building that you don't want to be interviewed upon reentry. If you get denied of that request, then you'll have to show proof that you are coming back to the u.s to stay and not to leave the u.s ever again. (Or at least for a long period of time).

as long as u come back to USA before the visa expires, you won't have to do an interview. if it does expire, you're gonna have to apply for a new one, and in that case, you will have an interview.

I won't ask you why but I will ask what's the big deal about the interview? If you have nothing to hide there should be no problem.
