APPLE COBBLER
Peel and slice into a baking dish, 5 medium size apples. Combine and sprinkle over the apples: 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. lemon juice 1/8 tsp. salt
Bake 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. While the apples are cooking, sift: 1/2 cup flour, 1/8 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. baking powder.

Cut into it: 1/4 c. skim milk

Turn onto a floured board and pat until the dough will cover baking dish. Place the dough on top of the apples and cut slits for the steam to escape. Bake 20 minutes in a 450 degree oven. Boil together: 1/4 c. water

Pour over the cobbler and bake 10 minutes more. Serve warm. Six servings.

Variation: Use 2 cups fresh or canned fruit instead of apples and bake only until tender or sugar is melted.

This was the closest I could find on Betty Crocker's website...hope it's close to what you're looking for...you could just omit the cranberries....

Cranberry-Apple Dessert

1/3 cup butter or margarine
2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce (from 16-oz can)
1 cup chunky applesauce
1 medium cooking apple, thinly sliced (1 cup)
Sweetened whipped cream, if desired

1. Heat oven to 350°F. In 13x9-inch pan, melt butter in oven.

2. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, sugar and milk until smooth. Pour batter evenly over butter in pan. In small bowl, mix cranberry sauce and applesauce; spoon evenly over batter. Place apple slices on sauce mixture.

3. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Heat oven to 375°F. Bake 55 to 60 minutes.
