"I think some of you need help understanding the bible."
I think you should try reading the rest of it. While you are at it, you might read up on the history of the exploits of your "peaceful" flock, starting with current events and King Georgie's exploits.
ADDENDUM
"Wells, at the moment, we are not the ones crashing planes into buildings."
Note the use of "at the moment".
We don't fly planes into buildings. We use cruise missles, smart bombs, and 155mm HE.

Ok, 1.) Stop shouting.
2.) Unless you are a so-called "red-letter Christian," you will have a hard time arguing that the entire faith is based entirely off of quotations attributed to Jesus. The Hebrew Bible (OT to you)?
3.) The actions of many believers have been bloody and violent. If you think that those actions are against the tenets of your faith, then you should speak to them (or, I suppose, about them if they're dead already). It is hardly the job of us outsiders to tell the Catholic church that it wasn't "really" Christian during the Inquisition, for example. You, as a member of the club, would have to do that.
4.) The concept of a mandatory blood sacrifice--a human sacrifice, at that--*is* bloody and violent, no matter how much pretty rhetoric you cloak around it. The basis of an enormous part of your religion is that Jesus had to die so everyone's sins could be forgiven. That's human sacrifice, and the god who demands that is demanding something bloody and violent. If you don't like it... well, you're the one participating, aren't you?

Christianity has messed the world up in the past and has slowed down humans drive to progress.
When people said the world was spherical the church had them killed, when people said the earth was not the centre of the universe the church had them killed.
The church has tried to hide scientific thruths for centuries... and they preach about doing good?
PS Christians dont respect other people's beliefs and think that just because we all dont beleive what they do we will end up in hell. What kind of god sends out that message?

Your implication is on target. Unlike Islam, Christianity requires its followers to respect others and use persuasion, not force, to spread the faith.
However, it should not be assumed that Christianity is pacifistic. The Christian fights against injustice and for freedom. Luke 20 tells the story of how tenants seized a vineyard, beat up the owner's agents, and killed the owner's son. "What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others."

I agree, Jesus is a lover of peace and human brotherhood, under the umbrella of Christ's Salvation.
However, we must remember the lesson of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3: 1 (To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven...) which teaches us that there is a time to fight and a time to love, a time to speak up and a time to forgive. Jesus was, at times, a chastiser of the priesthood and the hypocritical faithlessness in Jerusalem.
However, this is not intended as a call-to-war against all things non-Christian. It is a reminder to not become comfortable in the easiness of applying one answer to all situations.

Your name says it all. You are one of those that only rely on the OT when it justifies your own prejudices but otherwise ignore it. The bible contains two parts and so long as it does both are part of the religion not just the human Jesus of Nazareth.
As for emailing you, I think not, I know many Professors of Theology who know more than you do.

Because the Christians did not do what Jesus said. They murdered in his name to try to get others to be the same as they were. It arises from Xenophobia, the fear and hatred of strangers. The Christians wanted everyone to be Christian. In the name of Christ they had the Crusades, The inquisition, the Autos da fe, and even THE HOLOCAUST!!!

You might want to ask the Muslims to stop murdering women and children, that might make it a more peaceful world.
