No where in the Bible does it say that other men and women were not created elsewhere. He could have made Adam and Eve to live in the garden and then worked on the rest of the world. When Cain is banished, he finds a wife in the land of Nod. That shows me that there were other people around.

By modern American standard it would be called incest. But, don't forget it wasn't long ago that cousins were allowed to marry in the US. And other countries support it. Come on, It may be wrong today, but back then who said it was bad. It's wrong to judge a culture as "bad" just because they do things different then you do .This very much includes cultures in the past. Adam and eve were pure so even if bothers and sister had to get together, hardly damage, if any would occur. Adam and Eve were very respectable.

Yes . . . at some point Cain married one of his sisters.

"Ugh!" some say. "That's incest." Technically, yes. But this reaction reflects knowledge of the risk to children when brothers and sisters marry in our day. Some sort of physical deformity or mental incapacity. So most lands today have laws forbidding marriage between close fleshly relatives.

Think about it: some cultures think it is positively disgusting to eat dogs or cats. They could never conceive of such. They're pets. Yet other cultures have no problem with it. Moreover, God specifically said that all animals may serve as food for man. That includes dogs, cats, rats, and bugs.

Marrying close relatives at this point in time was not inherently wrong. It is disgusting to people now because most cultures teach against it. We have never known otherwise.

Adam and Eve is just a story. Like Noah's ark. Look closely at the evidence of where man really came from.

They all had sex with each other, according to the Bible. However, I believe Adam and Eve were not alone. Although they were used as a symbol of first couple, they were not the first and they were not alone.

Peace!

God only reported the first making of humans as to not be redundant.
He created others the same as he did Adam and Eve.
If you read Genesis, Cain went and took a wife, and there were those that he feared were going to kill him--these were not children of Adam and Eve.

They will answer with:
Incest-it was ok back then because Adam and Eve were more pure than we are.

Or...

God said he made Adam and Eve, but it DOESN'T say he didn't make more people after them...so he could have.

Perfect they were created !!! Their kids had better genes than we do today !!! Something happened after the world wide flood that impacted the gene pool !!! If you check the genealogies of the OT you will note that after the flood peoples ages decreased. and God thru Moses laid down the law that we were not to marry our cousin !!! Also Peleg in the genealogy was named for the earth separating into continents

if you would stop right there and realize the whole bible is full of such ridiculous claims you would save so much of your life

and when Cain killed Abel, how did he go out to "cities" and need a mark...for whom else?

the logic points to a severely edited bible, full of stories and inconsistencies
