On the floor of you car to the right of the gas pedal is a small panel with a screw on it. Open it up and you will find the computer. on the side of the computer is a small slot screw . With the key in the on position but the car not running turn the screw all the way to one side. wait about 10 seconds you should see the check engine light flashin a code on the dash. Turn it all the way back to the starting position. Turn you key to off and take it out then putyour key back in and turn the car on check engine light should be off.

Removing the battery will not do it. Non OBD2 cars need nissan technician help. Or some one with a asian scan tool.

You will have to take it to a mechanic with Asian scan capabilities, AKA Snap On Scanner, Or take it to a dealership. The only way to turn em off is with a Scan tool.

take both of your battery cables of and touch the cable ends together for about 15 minutes. This will drain the capacitor in the ECM and erase the codes.
