"Why to non-christians think they're being open minded when there are more non-christians than christians?"
Because apparently open-mindedness is inversely proportional to the number of people who share your belief.

The argument is:
"To be open minded is to go against what the majority insists. We know that the majority does NOT believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven." Therefore only christians are open minded. QED
And with a phenominal last edit:
"You can't say, "I'm open minded to all the options out there". There's only TWO options in existence. You are either for Jesus, or you are for Satan. There is no third option. You're not "open minded" at all."
But then there's the umbrella excuse for anything
God can do anything

I agree with that fundie excuse. Without the Holy Spirit within the Bible is boring to most people who refuse to read it or when they read it cannot comprehend or connect what they have read.
If you've read the Bible, how many times have you read "eyes to see and ears to hear." These "eyes to see and ears to hear" are not given to everyone. Without the Holy Spirit within you, you don't have them.
The Holy Spirit teaches us all things. You are an unteachable individual if you don't have the Holy Spirit. Have you ever heard that the Bible is alive? It is. Not all can partake of it.
Get on your knees and beg for wisdom, knowledge and understanding and just maybe God will have mercy on you an unbeliever.
One more thing -
The existence of God is proven by the order and useful arrangement in the universe. The orderly world in which we live clearly demonstrates that a great mind was behind its arrangement. The Scriptures identify God as that great intelligence. If you lack knowledge, ask of God.

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I have 3 Fundy Atheist excuses:
1 When a creationist points out problems with the evolutionist model you claim that the whole point of science is to answer problems like these. But if you can point out even one problem in the creationist model it should instantly be bandoned as absurd.
2 You assert that there is no absolute categories of good and evil, that all morals are merely personal, social and volutionary constructs but then you can still describe Christians and Christianity as absolutely immoral, repugnant and evil and a danger to humanity and not feel even a twinge of hypocrisy at the monumental illogic of your position.
3 When a Christian's interpretation of a passage (based on the social/literary context) solves one of your favorite contradictions, it is only their personal interpretation, and can be dismissed as such. But your interpretation (based on a "plain" reading of the text) to arrive at the contradiction in the first place is entirely objective, and is obviously THE correct interpretation.

'You're going to hell because (fill in the blank)'
'You can't love Jesus if you're not Christian'
'You must have not understood your faith very well if you decided to leave it' (after explaining all the theology courses I've taken and Sacred scriptures classes)
I wish everyone was more accepting. Life would be a lot nicer and things would be easier. Namaste

I agree. Atheists do not understand the Bible without the help from the Holy Spirit. They think they can but they cannot.
I kind of laugh about the claims some people make to be intellectuals and you can see how they really are here and you know that they do not know even what is to be intellectual.

My favorite is when atheists imply that chaos can turn into order (the antithesis of the laws of entropy), and that the laws that govern the distribution of energy can be reversed (three laws of thermodynamics) and even cancelled so that life can have a start by the actions of matter, energy, space and time working in random chaos.
It always befuddles my mind that these people can have so much faith to ignore the scientific facts, and yet accuse Christians of having faith that does NOT oppose science. (Yes, it's true that it supercedes it, but it does not oppose it).

The one I love is when you point out that there were at least three gods who died and rose from the dead BEFORE christianity, they tell you that the devil did that just to test us and confuse us. The devil is the handy scapegoat for everything they can't explain.

Your favourite is actually pretty valid.
Reading a scripture line and interpreting it to your understanding does not classify as "study".

Satan did it.
The Atheist excuse that annoys me is 'they started it', who is they?, has every Christian in the world personally insulted you.
The guy below me makes a very good point by the way.
