I would never want my children hearing about a god that burns people forever or needs blood sacrifices to make it all okay...ie Christs blood!
You can't really think your dogma should be taught in schools can you?

The blood that was shed for sins was God's own blood.
You seem to have missed that part of the message.
The knowledge of that truth changed me from a small minded, greedy, selfish little sinner to someone who lives for the God who gives us every good thing and for the betterment of all men.

Considering all the problems we have in this world because people don't understand the beliefs of others, like you clearly just demonstrated, most definitely YES!!

We have wars over differences of belief, but I think a lot of it is due to misunderstanding. I have in recent years begun to learn about other religions and I have found that there really is a lot of common ground, I can find things to relate to them on. The more I understand them, the better we get along. When we don't understand, we make wrong judgements on others.

Ignorance is never a good option. I'm sorry you feel that your child is better off being ignorant of the greatest Love ever offered to man. Don't let your own ignorance stop your child from having a chance at a good life. Give your child a chance at a better life than you have had.

No religion should be taught in public schools, unless it is a brief overview of all the religions. However, if it is a private school, they can teach whatever religion they like, i don't care because i don't pay taxes to that school. All religious studies should be kept out of public schools is all that i am saying. Teach english, math, science and social skills in public schools, keep religion in the home, churches and in private schools.

I am a Christian Preacher and I DO NOT want religion taught in schools.
When I see and talk to a vast majority of high school graduates I'm painfully aware of the fact that our school system in America seems to be having enough trouble teaching reading writing and arithmetic.

The schools should not indoctrinate and teach christianity.
The schools should show the origins of religions, and prove once for all how false they are.
Christianity originated from paganism, it is about time the christians learn all the mythology behind it.
There is a huge amount of evidence that disprove christianity, the school should bring that forward and stop the insanity of religion.

Absolutly not!
I'm not a Christian, but I believe that if religious beliefs ARE taught in school, ALL religions should be represented. And of course, that's impossible because there are so many different religions out there.

Yes, right along with other religions in some sort of religious history or social studies class.

Do you really think that taking Christianity out of the schools, i.e. students praying or reading the Bible without forcing it on others, is a good idea?

So you want your children believing that they came from apes?? When scientist can't prove where apes came from. Yeah that is much better I tell ya.
Your children will learn of 911 how gruesome that was, or even the bomb we dropped a bomb in world war II. WOW, we are really not burning or blowing people up now. We RIGHT NOW ARE SACRIFICING BLOOD FOR OUR COUNTRY IN IRAQ!! What in the world could be worse. Telling the truth to our children about God and where we all came from. That away they are able to make up there own minds.

Since Christians are the majority in the USA, we do most of the work, pay most of the taxes, and it is our children who are in these schools...along with the small minority of "others"

this "other" group complains over everything that is taught in any type of school public, Christian, private, home school...they do not like the curriculum....

this person does not comprehend the basic principals of Christianity...it is too difficult so he does not want to learn and does not want anyone else to learn either....

The answer is no. We also are pretty upset about Islam being jammed down the throats of U.S. children and paid for by our own taxes.
