A:"Why do you have to be so stupid? Really? It's people like you that keeps Satan working at us that's why. "

hi there devoted. divorce rate doesn't work like that, its per capita. so you could have a million christians and 5 agnostics, and the rate would be an average...see now I've confused myself! this is your fault!!!!

As a fundie Christian, I'd have to say that was a really stupid answer to the question. Whoever this was, does not like to look at the issues or flaws that affect the Christian community. Perhaps there is something in them that feels that if they see divorce in the church that something in their faith will be shattered. Kind of a weird idea, because divorce rates do not affect my faith whatsoever. INstead it shows me a greater need in the Christian community or that many so-called CHristians do not take their vows seriously.

The answer should have been - because God is getting ready to judge His church. Judgment begins in the house of God. I believe it is happening now.

Of course in America it could be because we have more Christians than atheists or agnostics, but that is a cover up answer. We Christians are not obedient to the Word of God.
Now, that is a truthful answer.

The answer to your question above sounds more like an atheist or agnostic answer than Christian. However, Christian seems to become a household word instead of the children of God.

I wonder exactly what the hell that meant. Is he/she saying that atheists and agnostics are responsible for the imaginary satan plaguing believers? Surely this must be an adolescent answering the question.

Yup another "so called Christian" making the rest of us look bad.

Catholics and true Christians are good people. Just like many Agnostic, Buddists, Jews and Muslims that are good people.

There is good and bad in every group and no belief is right or wrong but fun dies of any kind are off their rocker.

I think it is because christians actually get married and then divorced at times

but atheists or agnostics are more likely to just live together...so there is no record of divorce

however, divorce not not occur because of people they have never met on yahoo....

I think divorce is caused by many saying they don't want to make it work..Marriage to me is,my life, I want to be the best person I can,if I can't make my marriage work I feel like I failed myself and my husband..I have been married for 22 years now..

Many people do not understand the marriage commitment. Also atheists are the smaller group.

No, I don't think it's too great. I would have asked for a link that backed up the assertion before even thinking about answering the question.
