Ever since I was a little girl, I wondered how any one congregation could "intelligently" believe that only 400,000 are getting into heaven. And what about all the people living in poor countries ? People that have never seen a Bible ? I believe we are ALL in it together. WHATEVER it is, I don't think ANY religion knows what it's all about ! And God, Allah, Our Creator, etc.... cares for the poor people in Africa, in tribes, just as much as He cares for the Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists, and Rastafarians. We beat each other up too much arguing over the details.

Nobody ever liked me "questioning" my religion. It's probably like that for everybody.

LOL...because they're religious fanatics?

There no explaining fanaticism to rational people. For instance, I can't account for anything CJ says.

Catholicism? Bunk, and false doctrine galore! My family is Italian, and ALL Catholics. Their fantastical lies are exposed by just mild study of holy scriptures.
144,000 being the number that will enter heaven sounds like Jehovah's Witnesses BS to me. Also false doctrine to the Nth power. THEIR lies are exposed with very little study of scriptures.

The 144,000 that you speak of are 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. But since even Gentiles were filled with the Holy Ghost in the NT, it shows that this is not the number of people (total) that shall see the kingdom of God.

As for the only way, Jesus Christ is the only way that one can enter in. See John 14:6.

And finally - yes, you are right, God does love and care about all those that you mention. That is why there are people preaching and teaching about the gospel of Jesus Christ in every one of the places that you mentioned, because God wishes that none should perish, but that all would come to repentance. That is why Christ will be offered unto every corner of the world before the end comes.

It is all part of the brain washing that each cult does to people. Religion and God are in the mind and if heaven exists it is in your mind as well. It is for there to be eternal life there is no beginning and no end and everything about life say there is a beginning and an end to everything. With this fact in mind brain washing is used to keep the flock faithful. It is not just the religious fanatics it is all religious people.

You are 100% correct.
The answers to every question you have is found in the Bible. The first answer is found in John 3:16
The rest can be found in the first 8 Chapters of Romans. It might be worth your time to read through it.

As far as arguing, that also can be found in the Bible. John 21:21 and John 21:22

It's an amazing book when combined with a personal relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ.

May the Lord Richly bless you.

I can't answer for any other religions but my own. I am a Mormon and we believe our church to be the only true church because our church was set up by the power and authority of God in these last days just as the Church was set up by Christ at the meridian of time. We refer to ourselves as Latter-Day Saints to differentiate ourselves from the early Church. Simply put, If two opinions contradict each other, one or both must be wrong. It would be a long search to find another religion who would not contradict our beliefs. One of us must be wrong at least. We have prophets who guide this church but we are instructed to have our own testimony of the truth of what they say. We call this personal revelation. We receive a witness from God as to the truth of the Church. Why would we therefore say it doesn't matter what you believe. What good is revelation if it doesn't matter. We don't condem others or question their reward or think them bad for that matter but thank God for the fullness of the Gospel and welcome any who would like to join us. fan is short for fanatic. We are greatfully fans of Jesus Christ. I think questioning is good and you are doing the right thing. What you don't know is that you can receive knowledge from God through the Holy Ghost. This the path all Mormons follow to become members. Talk to your local missionaries or contact the local Church under "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

The people who will come to believe in Jesus Christ during the upcoming period known as the "Tribulation Period" (the seven years prior to His second coming) will be a number that no man can number, "like the sand on the beach". Jesus himself called the religious people of His time "hypocrites". If you want answers, read The Bible. Ask for wisdom and it will be given to you. "The fear of The Lord is the beginning of all wisdom".
It's funny but I just read Mr. Cool's answer and realized that even non-Christians are aware of the coming time (read Revelation!!!).

It's 144,000 and that is only believed by Jehovah's Witnesses who are not Christian but a cult.

Religion certainly has nothing to offer, but Jesus Christ said He was the "only way" to come to God. That is a personal relationship - not a religion. It begins with being sorry for our sin, repentance (which is seeking God's forgiveness from an honest heart) and faith that Christ will forgive you and give you eternal life.

As far as those in other countries. Some have had visitation from Jesus and gotten saved without a preacher, Bible or any other contact, and I mean entire villages in hard to reach areas. God will give everyone a chance prior to their death.
He is fair and just and perfect in all His ways and doesn't play favorites.

EDIT: FOR THOSE IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO SAY THAT IS HOW WE ARE RAISED; I WAS A DRUG DEALING AND CURSING HIPPIE WHO HATED GOD AND CHRIST BUT THAT DIDN'T STOP GOD FROM LOVING ME AND REVEALING HIMSELF TO ME WHEN I CRIED OUT FOR MERCY FOR MY IGNORANCE. You self-righteous bigots outside of Christ should do the same. He will forgive your ignorance as well.

Because Jesus said that He is the only way, that is why. And Jesus Christ is God in the flesh who walked the earth, died and was crucified for our sins and was resurrected to heaven.

Satan has a problem with Jesus and no other religion. Have you noticed that?

Fanatics are found everywhere sports, politics, life in general. It just seems the ones that are the religious types believe they have god on their side and therefore can do no wrong. And therefore take it up a notch.

Everyone believes their ways is the right way. Such as yourself. You believe we are all in it together, so you are advocating your way by saying other people's ways are wrong.
