I think the Psalms are great. King David wrote a lot of these and he was in a mess in parts of his life and you'll notice that in some of them he starts out very grieved and uses phrases like "I have soaked my bed with tears", but at the end of the Psalm he begins to glorify Him and praise Him and thank Him for His provision. It seemed to have helped him (and me) when I can put back into perspective who God is and how much He loves us! I hope this helps!

You might read Matthew 14:24-32, the last few verses of Isaiah 40, and many of the Psalms. There is a lot of comfort and encouragement there.

just let the Bible open up to anywhere. Start reading. I believe in getting a message from God that way. Let "God" open the book where He wants you to read ! (might just surprise you !)
