I've never seen them in a store anywhere, but you could order them from:

for faster shipping.

Ordering from the Ubuntu site doesn't usually take more than 2 weeks anyway.

If you have a university anywhere near you, many of them will keep Ubuntu CDs in stock.

To the best of my knowledge Ubuntu is not available in any shops as it is free

The best way to create a CD is to download it and burn the bootable ISO image to a blank disc, using MagicISO of which you can get a free trial from the net.

Ubuntu .. I have gotten a copy from a friend. Like most others - the stores won't have them available - especially for giving away.... They wouldn't mind charging you for installing it... however.

It is possible that there is one in your area, but I doubt it. Most stores would rather deny the existence of free software so that they can sell you Windoze.
