Eating grass is normal and it isn't necassarily because the dog has an upset tummy..grass for dogs is like salad is for people. Most dogs simply like it. Some will graze on it especially in the spring, some will pick and choose which grasses they want..some only eat it on occassion. While it is true that eating grass can cause vomiting, that isn't always the case.
Grass eating does not need to be discouraged.

Dog food won't stop her doing this. You should, instead of giving her extra food, change her from the type she is on now. She eats the grass on purpose to make herself vomit, because whatever food you're giving her, it's irritating her insides. You could try different types of dog food, and if the problem still occurs, then look at all the packets and see if there's a recurring ingredient in all of them that she could have an allergy to. Then try and find a dog food that doesn't contain this ingredient.

Hi there it is normal and as rightfully stated it helps digestion but if she's getting sick a lot a couple of times a week I'd ask the vet, she may have a tummy virus, my dog eats grass every day yet he's only been ill once.Maybe change her food or if she's getting scraps etc then stop for a couple of days. I was in the park one day and this couple fed my dog bread and chips he was ill for a week. Hope this helps

dogs typically eat grass when they are already feeling sick. They use to stimulate vomiting. I know that my dogs like to eat fresh grass every chance they get, one pukes but the others don't. If i were you i would try to find out if perhaps the dog is already sick and this grass eating habit is a result of it.

Eating grass is normal for most dogs, in fact, it makes their stomaches feel better. After a dog vommits, they usually want to go outside and eat some grass. Its totally normal!

Dogs eat grass when they NEED to. Usually they do so if something is upsetting their stomach and they do it to throw up.

You don't try to stop the dog from eating grass.
If the dog food is upsetting her stomach, change dog foods.

Don't stop your dog from doing this. Instinct tells dogs to eat grass, throw up and then they'll be fine. It's a type of 'Tums' for them.

Don't stop her, her body is telling her that she needs to get something up. It's a natural way for cats and dogs to make themselves sick to bring up what is giving them a pain. Perhaps you need to change your dog food if she is doing this every time - visit your vet for advice.
