There is only "SELF". I. ME, You are all illusionary fictitious entities crying out for a place and a status. What you think of the world gives it the meaning you see it as.

No.

It helps turn my priority from the world I live in, to the world that comes after we die. In doing this, I have a real concern for others around me in this world, lest they not make it successfully to heaven. True - we are all responsible for our own salvation, but we as Christians should try to help as many as possible make it there

Funny you should ask Mr. Ball!
Christianity is based on a person dieing to themselves and living for Christ. Have you heard the term "Born Again"? Unless a man by born again of the spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven. Jesus tells us to not only love our friends and family, but to love our enemies as well. This can only be done with the help of the Holy Spirit.

Of course not. My Christianity turns my priority to helping others. I just went to Wal-Mart and bought a small fridge for one of my little 3rd graders. His family does not have one. His mama works 2 jobs trying to support her 3 children. Dad owes $15,000 in back child support. They lost the dryer, hot water heater, and fridge when lightning struck.

Of course not. Have you even read the Bible? The Bible teaches that we act as servants not to ourselves but to those around us. It tells us to give freely to any who ask from us and if they ask for our shirt, give them our coat as well. The Bible does not teach self-centeredness but fellowship and service to God and to others.
