I believe that we are all connected and a part of God which to me is the sum of everything in the universe.

I actually think Jesus said that, as a matter of fact if you read about Jesus from details of his life other than the Bible (which was not written by Jesus) you would discover he was an amazing man. He was a child of God like the rest of us. And his message was about love.

Anyway my point is I think God is Love - and your afterlife is based on the concious thought and effects that you created while you were physically alive and the love you created becomes part of God (Good) and the negative things you have done in your life becomes part of the Devil (Evil).

I don't think you live in clouds and play a harp, or burn for eternity in hell. You are absorbed into the group conciousness. Every action you take effects this.

I think that there is.

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.

Your brother don

Because the bible was written by men you feel less likely to believe it?
It's the only other source to learn about your creator other than creation its self. To understand that God wrote this book of instructions using man's hand to write it down should be a simple thing to accept. Consider 2 Timothy 3:16,17.
The question you ask is answered from scripture if you are a reasonable person? Ecclesiastes 9:5,10, Ecclesiastes 3:19,20.
This is what God stated and he is not a lier. The bible is consistent with this thought throughout all 66 letters, even Jesus stated that his friend Lazarus was dead.
(John 11:11-14) . . .He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Laz′a·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.” 12 Therefore the disciples said to him: “Lord, if he has gone to rest, he will get well.” 13 Jesus had spoken, however, about his death. But they imagined he was speaking about taking rest in sleep. 14 At that time, therefore, Jesus said to them outspokenly: “Laz′a·rus has died,
So then the only hope for future life depends on God and the resurrection. For this reason its important to gain the knowledge that puts you on the favorable side of God.
These things we should know as basic bible understanding.
There are no if's, The bible is our book of instruction, just as anything made has a book of instruction to show you how.
If you have questions just ask.

I had an experience similar to Don. It was late at night, I couldn't sleep and I was up late sewing and watching TV. My dad (who lived with me) was in the hospital. Suddenly, a few minutes after 3:30 am, I felt a sudden presence, like someone was there with me. The room was still quiet, but it seemed like there was so much activity. Almost like a wind was coming through, but everything was still. I felt really tense for a moment, and then it all stopped. I was then able to sleep. It was a very confusing feeling.
Imagine the surprise of the hospital the next morning when I knew that my dad died a little after 3:30 am-I told them this as soon as I was told he died. Turns out he died at 3:37.
I believe very strongly that there is an after life. What it is, remains to be seen. I do know that it is something that we cannot comprehend.

This was actually one theory I had a while back. I felt life after death was a collection of good or bad. Similar to a great dream or a nightmare. All of these are brought on by you and your thoughts and deeds so after you pass, you've created a mental heaven or hell.
Because I believe in the existence of Spirits, I believe we will experience something similar but it doesn't last for all eternity. I believe we are then reborn again physically to make up for the damages done in past and present lives or enjoy the blessings of our good deeds from past and present lives.
I find it interesting and believe it's still a mystery.

Do you think that any living person can answer that with a surety? That is an answer for the dead. However the Bible give us this one thing that there is eternity beyond the grave and the choice we make now in this life will determine where we will spend that eternity; heaven or hell. The choice is ours.

absolutely nothing. your body just shuts down and you lose consciousness. your body will then decompose and then returned to the earth to create other types of molecules whether it be a living being or a nonliving being.

I believe there is no afterlife and you only get one chance to live. Everything that one has experienced is in the brain and after that shuts down your thoughts will be lost forever.

We all know what happens to the material body, it decays. But if someone knew what happened as far as heaven/hell goes, I'm sure a book would be written or new religion started. As of yet, no one knows.

Find out what in you is Life. Life is eternal. Death is a denial of this fact. Life begets Life. Death is a symbol of our belief that we have become separated from God.

Nobody knows with absolute certainty what happens when you "die". Anyone that tells you differently is either a liar or a delusional follower of fairy tale cult teachings.
