It was Sept. 1st. My parents didn't tell me until last night. We got her on the side of the road from a free kitten sign. She was just 6 weeks old. We have had over 8 cats with no success at a nice one. She was the nicest cat in the world. She was 1 year old last month. She bonded with my rottweiler and my other cat. Now my other cat is looking every where for her! They are both indoor cats. My dad took her to an old vet friend of ours, he has 1 leg, and cannot eat. He is one hell of a guy. He said she had a congenital birth defect, which made her have a hole in her heart. She finally just curled up in a ball on my livingroom floor fell asleep and didn't wake up. SHe was just a baby! We found her with my dog laying next to her sulking. She used to give me kisses, and she slept with my dog. She was fixed. This will be a tremendous loss for my family.

God bless you Kitter.

And also she used to pant when she ran. Thats how the old vet knew. THIS SUCKS!

I don't know. But my dad took the body to the vets. And as soon as my dad said " she pants when she runs "

He said Heart Attack, from a defect.

She was perfectly healthy!

I would seriously get her checked before its too late.

I feel your sorry, but you know i had a kitten that was panting like that too, and wouldn't let me pick him up, he curled up and died while sleeping also. I didn't have him checked out at the vets, we thought he maybe got into something like a detergent and licked it and got sick.. I feel so sorry for you. I know what you are going through, my kitten was only over a year old too. His name was sparky, he was a spark that was for sure, he loved to be with our dog and other cat too. Again I am sorry for your loss...
