We are fixing ribs all day in our smoker & I need a few more sides to go with the meat. I have fresh corn, but have never cooked it on the smoker - only on the grill. Can you cook corn on the cob in the smoker & for how long? Any other good side dish ideas?

I made homemade potato salad last night & have some baked beans as well, but I need 1 or 2 more side ideas - Any suggestions?

Yes, you can cook corn in the smoker. Cook it for about 1/2 hour then check every now and then to see if the corn is ready, depending on your smoker. Other side dishes: Cole slaw!!!!
and maybe french fries.... you can bake them in the oven.... get them in the frozen food aisle.

We grill/smoke a lot. For corn, I pull back the husks, take out the silk, use salt, pepper and spread butter, pull the husks back up over the corn and wrap them in foil. Place to the side..not over coals/flame. Roast for about an hr. I also do this:
In a large pc. of heavy foil (or double the less heavy foil), put strips of zucchini, squash, mushrooms and onions, 2 T. butter or margarine, salt, pepper, a t. of garlic powder or a minced clove. Wrap it and place over the heat. AND, :)...I slice thick slices of tomato and grill/smoke/roast. Careful, they tend to fall apart, so they do need to be either sliced thick or quartered. Grills, fresh asparagus is great,too...just place in foil with butter, salt, pepper and/or garlic. Close and roast until slightly tender, still crisp. Don't for get grilled garlic toast!

all I know is about grilling....Take the cob of corn with the leaves on it...pull back the leaves and butter, salt and pepper and put on it some sauce (like you'd put on meat...I have not tried any sauce, I just heard that on tv), and then pull up the leaves and cook it like that on the grill. I know also you could use aluminim foil.
